SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The 22nd Seoul International Sourcing Fair for Premium Gifts & Homeware(SIPREMIUM 2012) will take place from February 23, 2012 to February 26, 2012 at Coex C Hall to showcase various premium gift, household, sales promotion, and design items.
SIPREMIUM is South Korea's notable premiere, trade focused exhibition. This exhibition has expanded from last year's event with the expected participants of 20,000 buyers and 400 exhibitors from 20 countries.
Despite the economic downturn, the scale of the exhibition has been expanded with the driving focus on increasing the number of exhibition items displayed. In addition, "Premium Home + Design Premium Pavilion" event will make a debut at the exhibition, showcasing the current trends and luxury household items. The exhibition categories are split into two sections: one section displaying household items such as home appliances, kitchenware, home accessories, bath accessories, and leather goods and the other section displaying design items such as home accessories, interior goods, and character items.
Various types of buyers have expressed interest in the SIPREMIUM 2012 exhibition due to its diversified range of exhibition items. In addition, Korean consumer goods have been receiving good reviews for its excellence in price competitiveness and product quality compared to products produced by neighboring countries such as China and Japan. Lastly, the "Korean Wave" has sparked an interest for Korean products, and the foreign buyers are taking a great interest in these items. To reflect this, The Singapore Booksellers and Stationers Association have formed a buyer delegation of 15 members to visit the exhibition and to have business meetings with exhibitors.
The organizer has incorporated the "Korean Wave Pavilion" event to introduce Korean products that are well-received by overseas markets. The visitors will be able to see and test the product themselves and a sense of confidence in the products will be imparted through this exhibition. The "Korean Wave Pavilion" has been promoted by the Global Business Unit at Coex, the organizer, as well as it was introduced on the Aving's special webpage. This event will ultimately increase the overseas business trade of the Korean products. Particularly, the 1:1 Biz-matching Program which is launched this year will be held in VIP Lounge at the exhibition hall and about 30 buyers from 5 countries will be participating the program to connect and have in depth business meetings with the Korean exhibitors for first two days.
The "Traditional Market Promotion Pavilion" will be presented this with the result of last year's great success. The purpose of this event is to assist the small sized businesses with marketing supports and to let the world know about the beauty and the excellence of the Korean products.
The Traditional Market Tour Program will take place in addition to the exhibition, and it is targeted towards the overseas buyers. This tourism program is incorporated in the exhibition program to allow the buyers to tour the prominent Korean traditional markets and see how item distribution process works in Korea. The main tourist destinations include some of famous Korean markets such as Bangsan Market, famous for wrapping paper materials and baking goods, Namdaemun Market, a well-known wholesale and retail shopping district, and Sarangchae at Cheongwadae(Blue House) which just opened to the public.
Visitors can meet and experience all the programs and events that are discussed above at the SIPREMIUM 2012 event starting on February 23, 2012 at the Coex C Hall. Visitors can be admitted to the exhibition at free of charge if you pre-register on sipremium.info.
